STATE COLLEGE, PA – June 24, 2024 – Aiming to expand access to affordable metal 3D printing for small-to-medium size companies and decentralize additive manufacturing, today Xact Metal™ announced the sales and service partnership with Indicate Technologies, the first to join the Xact Metal sales network after a recent transition to non-exclusive territories in North America. Additionally, Xact Metal is excited to announce Quantum Additive as their first production partner in Ohio and the launch of a new powder handling system.

“At Xact Metal, we’re establishing a new level of price and performance in metal 3D printing by taking the essential specs of metal additive manufacturing and combining them with breakthrough technology,” said Juan Mario Gomez, CEO of Xact Metal. “We are pleased to partner with Indicate Technologies because of their strong team and experience in additive manufacturing.”

Indicate Technologies provides a strong background in 3D printing through their expansive line of products, as well as experience with other tools adjacent to the 3D market including sensors and dry electropolishing systems. With years of handling 3D printers, the Indicate Technologies team will skillfully provide training, technical support, and maintenance for Xact Metal printers.

“We are excited to begin our partnership with Xact Metal to include a low-cost metal 3D printing to our offering,” stated Hoang Van, Director of Additive for Indicate Technologies. “Xact Metal’s printers can be introduced at a lower initial price and are well suited for existing markets within manufacturing in the United States.”

Xact Metal also expands their production network by welcoming Quantum Additive, which was formed to advance the additive manufacturing initiative in Northeastern Ohio. The team at Quantum Additive brings 25 years of experience in Manufacturing, CNC Machining, EDM, Welding and Fabrication, with a specific focus on Advanced Manufacturing. With its deep knowledge of fabrication and working with Xact Metal’s XM200G coupled with advanced generative design software, Quantum Additive is now well-positioned to provide a strong AM business solution.

“Xact Metal offers a metal 3D printer that produces high-resolution parts easily, quickly, and cost-effectively. The ability to switch powders in a timely manner is also a significant benefit to Quantum’s business,” said Ernie Lazor, Director of Quantum Additive. “The fact that Xact Metal is located in the United States and provides service and support locally is beneficial. Still, the best part about working with their team is their commitment to the customer; you don’t find that anywhere else!”

“The partnership with Quantum Additive as our first production partner in Ohio is key to our mission to make metal 3D printing accessible for small-to-medium-sized companies,” said Gomez. “Quantum Additive’s design and manufacturing experience will help customers think differently about producing metal products.”

Xact Metal will also be previewing a soon-to-be-released powder handling system at Rapid + TCT. The system will stand separately from the XM200G metal 3D printer and provide the benefit of reduced powder exposure through a capsule system. Powder containers can be pulled directly from the XM200G and fit onto this new system for automatic, hands-free sieving. The refreshed powder can then be transferred to a fresh capsule by opening shut-off valves and maintaining isolation of the powder throughout the process.

“The emphasis on powder safety needed to be addressed,” said Gomez, “particularly in the educational and dental spaces. We are pleased with the solution our team has built and the ability to be retrofit to existing systems. This powder handling system reduces exposure to open powder and lessens the time spent in PPE significantly, as well as helping customers sieve powder faster.”

Xact Metal will be exhibiting at Rapid + TCT in Los Angeles June 25-27, 2024 in booth #1331. Throughout the show, Xact Metal will be featuring special guests from collaborative projects including Jason Lopes of Gentle Giant Studios and Zach Beller and Aaron Chow of VIXIV (formally known as Voxel Technologies).
