Founded in 2017, the team at Xact Metal recognized the tremendous value in metal 3d printing and wanted to make it available for everyone by reducing the price.
First printer shipments began in 2019 with the XM200C, the company’s first powder-bed fusion printer which operated with an XY gantry system designed for R&D, Universities and those transitioning from plastic printing into metal printing.
In November 2021, Xact Metal introduced the XM200G family of single-and-dual laser printers that utilize galvanometer mirrors, that achieve faster printing speeds for high through-put industrial applications.
The following fall, in September of 2022, Xact Metal announced the launch of the XM300G series, a mid-size printer family to support customers who want to print larger parts or larger quantities. With a build volume of 300 x 300 x 350 mm and the option of one, two or four lasers at 400W or 700W, the XM300G supports a wide variety of additive manufacturing applications. Xact Metal received its initial orders for the XM300G in 2Q 2022 and shipments are scheduled to begin Q4 2023.
The company has established a global network of sales and service partners to be able to support customers locally. Currently, Xact Metal has 26 exclusive resellers across 48 countries.
At Xact Metal™, we’re dedicated to supporting the next generation of innovative solutions powered by metal 3D printing. By using the essential specs for metal powder-bed fusion, we are establishing a new level of price and performance for metal additive manufacturing.
